A. We will always do our best to rectify the mistake, but if in doubt at the time you place your order, please call the relevant technical helpline number which can be found in the Contact Us section. A handling charge may be applied to any refund if you have incorrectly ordered the wrong part.
Q. Do you provide a guarantee?

BRAKES
Q. Are EBC GreenStuff, RedStuff and YellowStuff pads street legal?
A. Yes, all EBC pads meet ECE Regulation 90, which means they all carry an "E" mark,
and conform to all current EU legislation regarding brake friction.
Q. How many sets of pads do I need?
A. Most EBC automotive brake pad part numbers contain four pads, unless stated. The
pads are sold to change a complete axle set and are normally two per side.
Q. Is the disc price for a pair or one disc?
A. The price shown is for a pair of discs. When you add this product to the cart, the
quantity will be one (one pair of discs), except where the discs are "sided", left and
right. Discs can only be ordered in pairs.
Q I can buy just pads or pads and discs, why I can't I just buy the discs?
A. New discs should always have new pads fitted otherwise premature disc wear will
almost certainly occur. In general discs are usually replaced with every second set
of pad replacements, which is why the pads can be purchased without discs.
Q. Do EBC Automotive discs come with ABS ring sensors?
A. No. EBC's technical department recommend removing the old ABS ring to fit to the
new disc or purchasing new ABS rings from the car manufacturer.
Q. I have received a set of four brake pads for my car. On my old set of
four pads I had two metal wear sensors attached to two of the pads. The new set only has
one metal wear sensor attached to one of the pads, is this correct?
A. Yes, this is perfectly fine. As soon as this pad has worn down to the metal wear
indicator level there will be a noise alerting you that the complete set of
brake pads needs replacing. The wear sensor pad should always be fitted to
the nearside inboard (piston side) position.
Q. How do I know if I have SOLID or VENTED discs?
A. Looking down on top of the disc currently fitted to the car, a solid disc looks like
one piece of metal. Vented discs look like two pieces of metal, with vents in the middle.
Q. What guarantee is provided?
A. EBC brake pads and discs are guaranteed against manufacturer's defects for 12 months
or 12,000 miles (whichever is sooner) under normal road use.
EXHAUSTS
Q. What is the guarantee and how does the process work?
A. Piper and Scorpion offer a 'Lifetime of Ownership' warranty on all stainless steel
pieces, which is non transferable upon sale of vehicle. The owner is required to
complete and send a warranty card (supplied with product) back to the manufacturer.
The owner is then required to have the exhaust examined at 12 month intervals, and the
service card stamped by the examiner.
Q. What are the exhausts made of?
A. The exhausts are premium quality T304 grade stainless steel. That's why a
Lifetime Guarantee is offered, subject to an annual examination.
Q. How will I know if I have chosen the correct bore?
A. We have tried to remove any applications which may have resulted in confusion or
fitment issues. All Piper and Scorpion pieces are direct fit. If the car is standard,
there shouldn't be any complications. Usually, bore size of the exhaust system is only
changed in tandem with uprated turbos and engines and this will normally have been
carried out by specialist tuning companies.
Q. If I order an exhaust but when the car is on the ramp, it's the
wrong one – what happens then?
A. We have a 'safety net' in place and use the registration number supplied by you
to check the application before any parts are dispatched to the branch which is going
to carry out the fitting. If it has been ordered incorrectly by the customer, a 15%
handling charge will be applied to return the exhaust to the manufacturer.
Q. What if I want the car to have a de-Cat?
A. n-TECH does not offer this service as there are many MOT implications here.
Q. I'm just not sure which is the correct system for my car?
A. We recommend that you call the technical helpline on 01244 379531
and if it is still not clear after that, click on
fitting centres enter your
postcode and take the car into your nearest branch to establish the correct parts
prior to making the purchase.
